IT'S ALL ABOUT THE HEART.
Praise bands. Album names. Ministry titles. Radio stations. Even a complete genre of contemporary music has been adorned with the word "worship." In contemporary Christian culture the word worship has become synonymous with all things musical. Is that bad? Probably not. But is it completely accurate? Not even close.
While singing and playing instruments are true biblical expressions of worship, they are not worship in its entirety.
True worship is woven into the fabric of our lives and manifests itself in expressions far beyond singing. We can worship in big, bold, meaningful gestures or in the little steps in which we choose to love and surrender to God throughout the day.
Whether we see it as big or small, true worship overflows from a heart which is extravagantly in love with and wholly surrendered to God.
WE ASPIRE TO...
Give God our hearts by loving and submitting to Him above all else, recognizing that our greatest concern in the worship ministry is the state of our hearts.
Give God our minds by becoming as familiar with scripture as we are with our instruments.
Give God our hands & voices by being skilled and committed to developing those skills but acutely aware that our abilities are gifted from God and that our worship is not accepted on the basis of skill.
We desire to faithfully magnify the beauty, majesty, and holiness of God in Jesus Christ.
By example, faithfully encourage the believer and unbeliever to know, love, and surrender to Jesus Christ more.
OUR MINISTRY VERSE
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
